Achieving a Seamless Ombre

A hairstylists dream; virgin hair!
Unprocessed hair makes for a simple, easy to plan out process.
She came in (sort of) ready to cut off 3 inches after her color, just from regular wear and tear from not having a hair cut in a while.
I suggested trying out Olaplex to see if we could put a little health back into her ends, but more on that later...
Since it was her first time coloring her hair, she opted for something subtle and summery, a balayaged ombre suited her just perfectly!
Blayaging is the KEY to a perfect ombre, simply because gradation can not be present when you place color on in a straight line. It must be placed throughout the hair in a sort of neat state of dissaray, it should look clean, yet naturally flowing.
Once lightened, placing a combination of just a couple toners to cool things down and finalize the blending of all the tones is what brings everything together to just melt down the head.
After it was all said and done, she opted for a minimal trim, because her ends had regained their integrity and there were only minimal split ends to remove.
I'm glad I got to make her first hair coloring experience (though a long one [she came from the DC area to RVA to see me!]) a stunning one!
